Data Cabling Standards
Data cabling services is one of the most important aspects of building services. The communication within the building is only possible if data cables are installed as per certain standards. The standard was launched in 1991 and since then it has been repeatedly revised. The revisions have been assigned alphabets. The latest revision has been named as D and it is still implemented in 2017. It is mainly related to commercial erection of cables and their working. Meeting this standard is very important as alternatively, it can cause issues and problems. The best part of this cabling system is that it requires complete testing phase to be completed before the installation goes live. The erection is performed like a sole and separate project which leads to the results which make communication flow easy. The ANSI and TIA representatives also visit the facility if called to ensure that the work is done as per requirements.
Mainly the copper cables are the ones related to this certification. It leads to the results which determine whether or not the erection is done as per standards. The means of cable erection are also tested completely. A specialized kit is used in this regard which returns the result as 0 or 1. In other words, these are called a pass or fail respectively. It is up to the erection company to hire engineers to test the networking and its performance. In case of any problem, it needs to be fixed before the network is up.

Again specialized device is used to test the network. The device also follows certain testing standards. These devices are the also developed by TIA and thoroughly tested. Depending upon the network there are certain testers which are complex and vice versa.
